To instill a love and passion for God and His Church through a program of instruction offered in an environment of compassion and Christian responsibility.
Dear Parents,
Welcome to our religious education program! Each year at St. Munchin and St. Aloysius we offer sessions for children to help them learn more about the Catholic faith and to put it into practice. Children will learn about how we pray, what we believe, and how to live as a result. I am grateful to you for supporting our program.
When we baptize infants in the Catholic Church, we ask the parents during the ceremony if they accept the responsibility of raising their child in the faith. You are delivering on that promise every time you teach children at home, bring them with you to church, and have them take advantage of our religious education at the parish.
May God bless your family with gifts of faith, hope and love throughout the coming year.
In Christ,
Rev. Paul Turner, Pastor
Dear Parents,
As we begin another year of religious instruction at St. Munchin and St. Aloysius, I welcome you to our program. As our Catechists prepare to instill the Catholic faith in their students, I invite you to be an active participant in that process by your encouragement and support.
Our curriculum is based on Catholic Belief, Worship, Life, and Prayer. We prepare students to receive the sacraments of Penance, Eucharist, and Confirmation; as we offer continuing instruction about the other four sacraments: Baptism, Anointing of the Sick, Holy orders, and matrimony. The Ten Commandments, and the two Great Commandments, Love of God and neighbor, are also stressed.
With your assistance, may we have a year of positive learning experiences for the young people of St. Munchin and St. Aloysius.
Sincerely,
Nancy Hanrahan, Director of Religious Education
