I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you are all doing fine.
I have the pleasure to inform you that the construction of the clinic in my parish is progressing very well. In spite of the heavy rains we have had for the last two months, the main building is ready for roofing. Everybody is excited about the clinic and they cannot wait to see it open.
I hear people say as they pass by the construction site: " God has remembered us". Some girls say: " I am going to deliver my children in this clinic".
Thank you so much for giving hope to my parishioners. Through your help you are extending Christ's healing hand to the missions and you will not miss your reward.
We had initially envisaged a small building housing a small clinic, offering limited medical services but the diocese and the district medical board urged us to construct a fully fledged health centre because there is none in the area. That means constructing a bigger main building, bigger staff quarters and above all a bigger budget.
Due to the size of the building we have run out of funds. The original budget for the main building was USD 45.000 but it increased to USD 69.000 as calculated by the diocesan architect. On my last visit, through your generosity and hard work, we were able to raise USD 40.000 for the clinic. We still need USD 29.000 to complete the main building. Once this is completed we shall be just a few yards to "home base"; we shall be remaining with the construction of the staff quarters, kitchen, bathrooms and toilets.
I humbly request for your continued support so that we can bring to completion the good work we started to save lives. Thank you so much.
Be assured of our prayers and may God bless you all.
Yours in Christ
