Two months ago the chair of the priests’ personnel board told me they were discussing my name,

but I was going to stay in Cameron. Last month he called back to say I would definitely move to a

parish in Kansas City. He called a few hours later that same day to say I would definitely be staying

in Cameron. Last week I heard all the changes were done. However, on Friday Bishop Finn called

because he learned we are losing some religious order priests who were taking care of hispanics

in Northeast Kansas City. He asked me to become the pastor of St. Anthony’s Church there, and I

have agreed. The new pastor of St. Munchin and St. Aloysius will be Father Louis Farley. He grew up

in Savannah, Missouri, and has been working in Kansas City the last year and a half. This will be his

first time as pastor. Please go easy on him. The changes take place June 12 - about 2 months

from now. ...
